Many people with credit problems have hard times finding an institution that will help them finance their purchase of a computer. They may see adds that claim things like ‘Buy a Computer Bad Credit‘, but when it comes down to it, it’s much harder to actually find that financing.

Part of the problem is due to the current economic conditions – with lenders loosing billions and billions of dollars each quarter they obviously will have less money to lend out to both bad credit and good credit purchasers. However, don’t let this get in your way if you are someone with bad credit and need a computer–you do have several options. One of the best options is to get financing directly from the company you are looking to purchase the computer from. Companies like Best Buy have a company credit card or company financing that they are willing (and want) to make available to their customers. The reason is that it not only allows them to make money from the sale of merchandise purchased with that credit, but it also makes it possible for them to make money on the financing end of the transaction. For you, you will get benefits as well. One, you will find out within a very short time period (usually around 15 to 30 minutes) if you qualify, allowing you to simply browse the store while you wait to hear the verdict.

When this verdict comes back, don’t worry if the bad credit loan amount is somewhat smaller than what you had hoped for – remember, nowdays you can find a decent computer that will perform all ‘necessity’ functions for less than $500, with mid-range computers only costing around $700 to $800.
